To prepare a pie with cottage cheese, poppy seeds and semolina, prepare the products according to the list.

In a large saucepan, combine milk, filling sugar (150 g), a little salt, vanilla sugar and butter(100 g).

Bring to a boil, butter and sugar should be completely dissolved in milk. Remove from fire.

Add poppy seeds and semolina to the hot milk mixture. Stir vigorously and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Stir the filling periodically so that there are no lumps from the semolina.

Well, for this you need to be prudent, which I do - I almost always have something for my family to treat to tea, and treat myself in the morning.

Today I will tell you about a pastry I recently tried, but already loved by everyone in our family - a pie with curd and poppy seed filling. Despite the large number of various manipulations in the process of its preparation, the recipe for this baking is quite simple - especially if you have your favorite assistant at hand - a blender.

Ingredients

To prepare sand crumbs, which we will use for the base and top of baking, you need to take:

  • 65 g well-chilled butter
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 150 g flour

For the most delicate curd-poppy filling, you should prepare:

  • 370 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 sachets of vanillin
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 150 g cottage cheese
  • 80 g semolina
  • 80 g dry poppy

How to make poppy seed pie

  1. To begin with, I propose to prepare a sand crumb, which will serve as the bottom and top layer of our baking. To do this, you just need to combine flour with sugar, and then diced butter.
  2. You can simply grind it all with your hands, or you can use a blender - the second option, to be honest, is much faster, and even easier ...
  3. The crumb is ready - now we just put it in the refrigerator and start preparing the filling.
  4. Poppy filling for pies can be very different. With us, it will consist of two parts - cottage cheese and milk-manno-poppy.
  5. For the curd component, we simply arm ourselves with a blender again and combine the cottage cheese, egg and vanilla sugar with it.

  6. But for the second component of our original filling, we first pour milk into a small saucepan, add sugar, semolina and butter.
  7. Now we put the pan on the fire and, stirring this milk mass regularly, we control the process of its thickening.

  8. Over time, you need to add the washed poppy seeds, mix everything well and hold on the fire for another 3-5 minutes.


  9. The mass must be completely cooled.
  10. And then mix it with cottage cheese - our filling is ready.
  11. It's time to turn on the oven to heat up - we need a temperature regime of 180 degrees.
  12. Now let's prepare the form - we need a small diameter (18-20 cm) with removable walls. It must first be lined with parchment, and then spread over the bottom with an even layer of 2/3 of the sand crumb from the refrigerator.
  13. On the base of the crumbs, now lay out and level the filling.
  14. And sprinkle it with the remaining crumbs on top.
  15. You can put the future poppy seed pie without yeast in the oven - it should bake for 45-50 minutes, but in any case it is better to use a wooden skewer to check the readiness of our baking.
  16. Ready sand cake with cottage cheese and poppy seeds, you need to completely cool, and only then get it out of the mold and cut into portioned pieces.

I confess that this German pie with cottage cheese and poppy seeds won my heart the first time.     Grind the mixture quickly to fine crumbs so that it does not start to melt.

    Pour two thirds into a baking dish. It is not necessary to grease or cover it with parchment. The diameter of my form is 24 centimeters, the height is 6 centimeters. Tamp the dough tightly with your hands, forming a flat bottom for our future cottage cheese. You don't need to make ribs. We put the form with the cake and the remaining crumbs on the shelf of the refrigerator to cool.

    Step 2: Prepare the stuffing

    Pour milk into a saucepan. Add sugar, vanilla and pieces of butter.

    Put the mixture on fire. While stirring, bring the ingredients to a boil. Be careful not to overheat the mixture. As soon as it starts to boil, immediately remove it from the heat.

    Pour semolina and poppy seeds. Mix and leave to swell for 10 minutes.

    We will periodically mix the mass so that it turns out to be homogeneous. If the semolina is seized in lumps, the mass can be beaten to a homogeneous texture with a mixer.

    In the bowl of a blender, beat the cottage cheese (it is better to use a pasty one to make the texture creamy) and an egg.

    After 10 minutes, combine the curd and milk mixture and mix the ingredients until smooth.

    Step 3: Shape and Bake Cheesecake in the oven

    Put the poppy seed filling on the cooled cake and spread it evenly with a silicone spatula.

    Sprinkle the remaining dough crumbs on top.

    Let's put our cottage cheese in the oven, turned on at 180 degrees. In an hour, the cake will be ready.

    Step 4: Submit

    Completely cool our poppy curd, cut into portions. Serve with tea, hot chocolate, juice or cocoa.
